Emergency Services supporting Townsville Hospital Foundation

Representatives from Queensland Police, Fire and Ambulance services visited Townsville Hospital to present proceeds of a fundraiser held for the Townsville Hospital Foundation.

The 6th annual Guns and Hoses event was hosted by the Northern Community & Combined Emergency Services Inc. Today’s donation of $4000 brings the total Guns & Hoses have raised over the past 5 years to $18,000 dollars for Townsville Hospital’s Med 5, in support of patients suffering with dementia.

Les Groves, President of Northern Community & Combined Emergency Services said: “This fundraiser is a great way to enhance relations between emergency services including the QPS, QAS and QFES as well as the Townsville Hospital and Australian Defence Force Army team.”

Tanya Busoli, CEO of the Townsville Hospital Foundation said: “We’re so grateful for the support of our emergency services. They’re already out in the community helping every day – what a wonderful effort to fundraise in their spare time as well.”
