CARE PACKS
You can help us put smiles on local faces with our care packs.
We are asking our community to help make our patients' stay in hospital a bit brighter with our care packs.
As you can imagine, we do have some limitations on what we can accept due to reasons including infection control, storage space, and more. Please read the guidelines below before making a donation.
Please note that we can only accept new and unused items.
The care packs are designed to provide activities and distractions for children staying at hospital as well as patients of all ages who find themselves in hospital without any provisions such as toiletries or clothing.
Items can be dropped directly to the Brighter Lives gift shop at the Townsville University Hospital.

Care Packs 4 Kids
We need donations of the following items:
- Activity Books - New activity books, colouring-in books and sticker books
- Small Books - Suitable for children
- Pencils or Crayons - New packs
- Small Toys - New, Hot Wheels/Troll size
Care Packs
Life can change in an instant and we may find ourselves in hospital suddenly without any provisions. To help, Brighter Lives has Care Packs for patients of all ages.
We need donations of the following items:
- Clothing - Comfortable new clothing such as pyjamas, shorts and t-shirt etc (adult or child sizes)
- Thongs/Slip-On Shoes - (adult or child sizes)
- Hair Brush - New
- Soap - Please note that all items must be individually wrapped for hygiene purposes
- Toothbrush - Please note that all items must be individually wrapped for hygiene purposes
- Toiletries - Please note that all items must be individually wrapped for hygiene purposes
- Adult Activity Books - New activity books such as crossword books or adult colouring-in books
