Climb for a Cause raises $8,500

On April 24, brave members of the community abseiled 95 metres down Castle Hill in the rain to raise money for Brighter Lives Townsville Hospital Foundation.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and Outer Limits Adventure Fitness organised this once-in-a-lifetime experience – an event that sold out in just 24 hours.

The event was a huge undertaking with volunteers from both organisations contributing their time and experience. Firefighter Matthew Puncher walked the equivalent of 111 flights of stairs while volunteering!
