THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF GIVING DAY!

Brighter Lives hosted our inaugural Giving Day on Thursday 19 November. In a first for an NQ charity, we aimed to raise $70,000 in one day of giving. The campaign featured Hope Manser, 5 years old, who was born at TUH and receives ongoing treatment here in Townsville. With her big smile and infectious laugh, Hope was an inspiring face and story for the campaign.

We achieved our target of $70,000 just before 3 pm on the day and the final tally is in. Thanks to our community, we have raised over $91,000!!!!

We received widespread support from the local media, including Crystal and Brady from Star 106.3, Power 100 (Karina, Scotty, and Dave), Townsville Bulletin, Southern Cross Austereo, Paradise Outdoor Billboards, and many more. We had some great teams fundraising on the day, including some great volunteers in our HQ – special thanks also to Karyn, Sonia, and Natalie.

It just goes to show that with such a year as 2020, that community is truly everything!
