What to wear to Not-A-Ball

Not-A-Ball – So, what do you wear?

You’ve got your ticket to Brighter Lives Not-A-Ball and now you’re wondering what to wear...right?

Don’t stress, we have been chatting to Rachelle from Rachelle’s Unique Boutique so you can dress to impress!

I’ve had a few people come in to get their outfits sorted for Not-A-Ball and here are my tips:

  • It’s amazing how you can design a long ankle dress up as a formal look by adding gold or silver headwear and accessories. Then you can wear your dress again!
  • Dancing will be on full throttle with the amazing band playing - Remember to wear something with quality breathable, lighter material. A dress not only has to look good, it needs to feel good! And be made out of quality materials.

As for matching the theme of Rio Carnival, Rachelle gave some advice on how to tackle that if wearing colourful clothing is not your thing:

Not everyone loves bright colours. You can still wear your black or block colours! Simply add colour in the way of headbands - earrings - flowers and shoes!

Rachelle has generously donated an amazing prize of a $500 voucher from her boutique to be auctioned on the night.

Not-A-Ball gives an opportunity for guests to be looser with etiquette rules and express your personality!

For men, they may choose a printed tie with a dress shirt and pants. Or simply opt for a more traditional black tie with a bright-coloured bow tie.

For women, just about anything goes – from floor-length gowns, to cocktail dresses or even a pantsuit. Using Rachelle’s tips – accessories make the outfit! This is your chance to have some fun and be colourful if you like to push the boundaries of the usual black tie to get into the spirit of Not-A-Ball!

While loud, colourful outfits are encouraged, it is absolutely not required. Not-A-Ball is all about having a good time, with none of the boring bits. So wear the outfit that makes you happy!

Tickets to Not-A-Ball are $105 per person which includes substantial canapes, great entertainment and a drink on arrival. The event is fundraising for a laser to treat children who have experienced burns.

4 November at 6.00pm | Quayside Terminal | Tickets $105  Book online: https://www.trybooking.com/CLNDN
